Mineral makeup does not contain damaging oils and chemical additives. It does not clog your skin's pores or provide a breeding ground for bacteria. Unlike heavy chemical based makeup that often give a cakey and masked feel, mineral makeup is like wearing virtually nothing due to its light and weightless character. What is the shelf life of your mineral makeup? The fact that the ingredients are made of minerals means that no preservatives need to be included as bacteria and microbes cannot live in the makeup and infect the skin. Mineral makeup has a long shelf life of up to 10 years, so long as reasonable care is taken to apply the makeup with clean brushes. Wet-based products have a shelf life of 1-2 years as long as they are stored properly. However, we do recommend that you replace your makeup once every year.
